Raheman is a Partner of Double Black Partners with over 20 years of private markets investing experience across Europe and North America.

Prior to founding Double Black alongside Greg and Appu, Raheman spent over 20 years at Deutsche Bank investing across private equity and credit. Raheman has also been a Senior Advisor to BCG.

Raheman holds a BSc. in Econometrics & Mathematical Economics and a MSc. in Politics of the World Economy, both from the London School of Economics.

Greg is a Partner of Double Black Partners with over 20 years of distressed and asset-backed investing experience.

Prior to founding Double Black Partners alongside Raheman and Appu, Greg spent 15 years at Deutsche Bank where he was responsible for various principal investing businesses. He started his career as an auditor at KPMG before joining Bank of America’s Special Situations Group.

Greg holds an MA in Economics from Warsaw University and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.

Appu is a Partner of Double Black Partners with over 25 years of performing and distressed corporate investing experience across Europe and North America.

Prior to founding Double Black Partners alongside Raheman and Greg, Appu spent over 10 years at H.I.G. Capital where he was responsible for European direct and opportunistic lending. Appu was previously a Partner at Highland Capital Management and started his career at Credit Suisse / DLJ.

Appu holds a BS in Applied Mathematics & Economics from Brown University, an MBA from The Wharton School and is a CFA Charterholder.

Geoff is General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Double Black Partners.

Geoff joined the team in 2022 with over 20 years experience including as Global Head of Alternatives Legal for what is now DWS. Geoff previously worked at Clifford Chance in London and Sao Paulo.

Geoff holds an LLB from the University of Exeter and qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales in 2003.

Stuart is Double Black Partners’ transaction counsel.

Stuart has over 30 years of legal experience including time spent as a Partner at major international law firms specialising in acquisition finance, infrastructure finance and restructuring.

Stuart holds an LLB from Durham University.

Lingkun is a Principal at Double Black Partners with almost a decade of private credit investing experience.

Lingkun began her career working with Raheman at Deutsche Bank in 2017. She then spent 2 years at Goldman Sachs in SSG and GSAM before joining the team in 2023.

Lingkun holds a Masters in Management (Finance Major) from HEC and a BSc. in Economics from Tsinghua University, School of Economics and Management. Lingkun is a CFA Charterholder.

Liam is a Principal at Double Black Partners with 10 years experience in financial markets.

Prior to joining the team in 2023, Liam worked in the Financial Institutions Group at Citi.

Liam holds a BSc. in Business Administration from the University of Bath.

James is an Investment Associate at Double Black Partners.

Prior to joining the team in 2024, James spent 3 years in the Restructuring & Debt Advisory team at Rothschild & Co in London.

James holds an MSci in Physics from Imperial College London.
